What is included in a full car detail?

A full car detail is a thorough cleaning, preparation and protection service covering the exterior and interior. It goes beyond a standard wash or maintenance valet by addressing difficult areas, contamination, upholstery and paint condition.

Exterior work

  • Pre-wash and safe hand wash
  • Wheel, tyre and arch cleaning
  • Door shut and fuel-cap cleaning
  • Tar and iron removal
  • Paint decontamination
  • Glass and trim cleaning
  • Wax, sealant or ceramic protection

Interior work

  • Vacuuming seats, carpets and boot
  • Dashboard, console and trim cleaning
  • Fabric, upholstery or leather cleaning
  • Carpet and mat extraction where required
  • Pet hair and stain treatment where possible
  • Interior glass cleaning

Optional corrective work

Machine polishing, paint enhancement and paint correction may be included or quoted separately depending on the package and paint condition. Engine bay cleaning is normally an optional service.

How long does it take?

A full detail can take several hours or longer. Vehicle size, contamination, interior condition and polishing requirements all affect the final time and price.
