Pet hair works into fabric fibres, carpets, seat seams and narrow gaps. A normal vacuum removes loose hair but often leaves embedded fibres behind.
A safe removal process
- Remove mats and loose items
- Vacuum slowly in several directions
- Use a rubber pet-hair brush or lightly damp rubber glove
- Work around seams with a crevice tool
- Vacuum again after loosening the hair
Common mistakes
- Using sharp or aggressive tools
- Soaking seats before removing dry hair
- Vacuuming only once
- Ignoring gaps under seats and in the boot
- Using unsuitable household chemicals
