How often should you detail your car?

There is no fixed schedule for every vehicle. Frequency depends on mileage, storage, weather exposure, family use, pets and how regularly the car is maintained.

Typical schedule

  • Maintenance clean: every few weeks as needed
  • Interior deep clean: once or twice a year, or when contamination builds up
  • Full detail: seasonally or annually depending on use
  • Paint enhancement: when gloss and clarity need improvement
  • Protection renewal: according to product condition and maintenance

Vehicles that may need more frequent care

Daily drivers, outdoor-parked cars, family vehicles, work vans and cars used on muddy rural roads may need more frequent cleaning than garage-kept weekend vehicles.

Use condition, not only the calendar

Inspect the paint, wheels, carpets, seats and water behaviour. Book the work the vehicle actually needs rather than repeating the same package automatically.

Need help choosing the right service?

WK Detailing can assess the vehicle condition and recommend the right level of detailing, paint correction or protection.
