How car seat shampooing works

Fabric-seat cleaning normally combines vacuuming, suitable chemicals, controlled agitation and extraction. The process should remove dissolved dirt rather than simply spread it through the fabric.

Before wet cleaning

  • Vacuum thoroughly
  • Remove pet hair and loose debris
  • Identify the fabric type
  • Test products in a hidden area
  • Treat individual stains carefully

Drying matters

Over-wetting increases drying time and can lead to damp smells. Good extraction, ventilation and suitable conditions are important after cleaning.

Realistic stain results

Many stains can be improved, but permanent dye damage, wear, bleaching and old contamination may not disappear completely.
